NOWSHERA: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak has said that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) would call-off its protest campaign if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif inform the nation about the his family’s assets in foreign countries. While addressing public gatherings in Piranokhel and Khushal Garh in Akora Khattak on Saturday, the CM said that the matter will be resolved instantly if Nawaz Sharif showed the sources of the money his family shifted abroad and if he revealed the details of the properties they bought in a foreign country. “The Prime Minister is traying to escape accountability. He is not willing to show the source of the money his family shifted abroad. There is something black in the lentils or the entire lentils are black,” Pervez Khattak said. He said that the opposition had no other option but to come on roads in an effort to ensure accountability of the rulers. “A few well-off families had occupied and were exploiting the resources of the whole country and shifting the capital abroad,” he added. CM Khattak claimed that only the PTI and Imran Khan were able to replace the corrupt rulers and held accountable the corrupt elite. He added that everyone had a right to stage protest rallies for ensuring their democratic demands. “No conspiracy is being hatched against democracy. There is no London plan. Imran Khan and Dr Tahirul Qadri have made no secret deal or made any plan,” he argued. Pervez Khattak added that the opposition parties were united on the call for investigation and accountability over the Panama papers leaks. “People want to get rid of the corrupt rulers as they are fed up with them,” he claimed. Chief Minister hoped that people will make the PTI protest rallies a success by joining in large numbers.
