MANSEHRA: Twenty persons, including women and children, sustained injuries in a road mishap here on Thursday, official sources said. A speedy passenger coach that was on its way to Mansehra from Karachi collided with a vehicle in Gazikot, leaving 20 persons injured. The traffic wardens and local people rushed to scene and shifted the injured passengers to the King Abdullah Teaching Hospital. “Five of the injured were shifted to Abbottabad in a critical condition,” a doctor told reporters. The city police after lodging FIR started investigation to establish the exact cause of the incident. Security posts: Inspector General Frontier Corps (IGFC), Major General Shaheen Mazhar visited forward security posts along the Pak-Afghan border in Bazar Zakhakhel in Landikotal tehsil, officials said on Thursday. Security forces officials said that IGFC Major General Shaheen Mazhar accompanied by Khyber Rifles Commandant Col Umar Farooq visited several security check posts along the border with Afghanistan in Bazar Zakhakhel in Landikotal. Shaheen Mazhar also met with Pakistan Army soldiers deployed in Bazar Zakhakhel and gave them Rs 0.1 million as reward on their outstanding duty during the past few months. IGFC lauded the soldiers.
