PESHAWAR: At least six dengue affected persons were admitted in Hayatabad Medical Complex (HMC) Peshawar on Saturday, a hospital source said. One of the patients was a medical doctor from Batkhela, Malakand while a female was also reported to have contracted the fever. The six patients of dengue were brought from Mardan and Swat on September 28, 2016 and were admitted in medical ward of the hospital. Sources at the hospital said 30-year old Dr Imad was brought to the hospital from Battkhela along with a 35 year old Jawad from the same area. The female, identified as Summya 26 was brought for treatment from Mardan district. Other patients included 30-years old Said Badshsh from Swat, Imtiaz, 23 from Mardan and Gul Nawaz, 47 were also admitted at HMC for complications from dengue fever. The HMC sources said that three dengue patients were discharged from the hospital while the remaining three patients were still getting treatment. It merits mentioning that the six patients reported for dengue were first patients admitted at the public health hospital of the province this year for the disease.
