PESHAWAR: The Adviser to chief minister for Information and Broadcasting and Higher Education Mushtaq Ahmad Ghani has claimed that provincial government was making out all efforts to provide free and compulsory education to boys and girls of the province. He was addressing a function as chief guest on Tuesday at University of Swat where he awarded need base scholarships to deserving students of the university under the banner of Higher Education Commission (HEC). Mushtaq Ghani said that no nation can claim to be sovereign and independent unless its population is educated and literate. He urged the students to get advantage of the government reforms and scholarship for their bright future. He said that in the light of Chief Minister Pervez Khattak historical reforms have been introduced to promote the culture of merit and transparency and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government in the province would be remain champion of the education policies, adding that culture of nepotism and corruption has been stamp out from the government run education institutes. Public sector universities have been provided a platform where they can easily achieve their goals and for the first time vice chancellors of the universities being hired on merit base which have better outcomes for the higher education, he added. Adviser Mushtaq Ghani claimed that whole party of the PTI at the province set forth the agenda of its party Chairman Imran Khan all of the provincial team are united and determined to curb the ailments of the people of the KP by equipped the youth of the area with education and steer them to get opportunities at the modern world. He said that provincial government has committed with honest intention to make the province among the most developed province of the world and providing unprecedented funds for education was the live instance of the government resolve in this regard. Teaching faculty of the university and large number of the students were also present on the occasion.
