ISLAMABAD: The second meeting of the Pakistan-Turkey Joint Commission on Road Transportation was held on July 26-27 in the capital city under the framework of ‘Bilateral Road Transport Agreement’ between Pakistan and Turkey signed on June 15, 2003. The Turkish delegation, headed by Nurhan Tufekcioglu, deputy director general at the General Directorate for Road Transport Regulation, Ministry of Transport, Maritime Affairs and Communications, met senor officers of the ministries of Communications, Commerce and Foreign Affairs in this regard. Both sides discussed various issues of mutual interest for strengthening the bilateral relations in the field of road transport. It was realised that the existing brotherly ties would be strengthened by reinvigorating the already signed bilateral road transport agreement, which is aimed at facilitating the movement of cargo and passengers between the two countries.
