ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) would re-launch an advanced and fully re-modeled Japanese Play Land (Park) today (Thursday). The facility is up-graded, revamped and re-modeled with the generous support and assistance of Japan, said a press release issued by CDA. Ambassador of Japan to Pakistan Hiroshi Inomata will be the chief guest of inaugural ceremony. Japanese play land commonly known as play land was developed in 1985 with the assistance of Japanese government as a special gift for the children of the federal capital. The play land is popular for its Japanese theme but due to continuous use for over 30 years the park lost its popularity due to damaged gadgets and dilapidated condition of allied facility. However, due to special attention and focus of the CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal, authorities with the assistance and support of Japanese government envisaged a project to revamp this facility. The installation of 32 new gadgets has been completed and is being re-opened with better and added facilities. Moreover, proper lightening and night patrolling has been ensured for the safety of the equipments.
