ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) secretary general Jahangir Tareen on Tuesday said that farmers were facing worst downturn due to failed and inappropriate policies of incumbent government. According to media reports, the PTI leader said that recently conducted poverty survey had shown that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) did not make strategic plans according to facts. Tareen said that the PML-N was making false promises of eliminating poverty from the country with only three percent development. He said that alarming drop in agriculture production and economy had caused increase in poverty; therefore, the government should take steps by keeping in view the actual facts. He added that the government should go back to home if it could not resolve the matters of the general masses.
