RAWALPINDI: A decision has been taken to upgrade dispensaries’ and schools of Rawalpindi, Chaklala Cantt Board and other cantonment areas. A meeting was held at DG Military, Land and Cantonment Headquarters, under leadership of Director General of MLAC, Syed Najamul Hasan. It was decided that in the first phase, the primary schools would be upgraded to the level of middle and high schools and later they would be upgraded to the college level. In Chaklala Cantt, two primary schools, Tulsa Road and Sabza Zaar will be upgraded to the high school status. It was also directed that dispensaries would be kept open from 8am to 8pm.daily. Public transport drivers, conductors to get free medical facilities: The Punjab government has decided to launch free medical camp service for transporters, drivers and conductors of public transport in all districts including Rawalpindi under “Sehat Khidmat, Sehat Ibadat” programme. The facility of treatment and all tests including sugar, blood pressure, hepatitis, HIV and blood groups will be provided to drivers and conductors free of cost.
