ISLAMABAD: Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Tuesday arrested a deputy director enforcement of Capital Development Authority (CDA) in kacthi abadi (slums) case after cancellation of his pre-arrest bail. Central Special Judge Malik Nazir Ahmed resumed hearing of the case and rejected the extension appeal of Deputy Director Muhammad Iqbal on request of Anti-Corruption Cell of FIA Islamabad. After the cancellation of pre-arrest bail, the FIA managed to arrest the accused CDA official. Now a total of 23 accused have been apprehended by FIA for allegedly facilitating the expansion of katchi abadi while eight accused are on interim bail and remaining have been declared proclaimed offenders.
