ISLAMABAD: Attshan Ali Abbasi made history by naming 150 districts of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir in a single breath. Talking to APP on Tuesday, he said the video was released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) and produced by a government company. The main purpose of the video was to attract people to come and get engaged in census. Abbasi was associated with an approved platform for Pakistani youth named “National Youth Assembly of Pakistan”. He had written a thesis for his MPhil (Public Policy) on the Pakistani parliament’s performance, weaknesses and its international comparison. He said that population censuses were used for constitutional functions such as inter-provincial resource allocation and the distribution of national assembly seats. “We have to know the importance of census to address a variety of social challenges, such as Pakistan’s education emergency, increasing malnutrition and stunting, water shortage and lack of adequate health facilities,” he added. It is not the first time Attshan Ali Abbasi has made headlines. In June last year, he broke a world record of “fastest time to recite the names of all countries of Asia and Middle East in only 1 breath (12 seconds)”. The Universal Record Database website “RecordSetter.com” accepted Attshan Ali Abbasi’s world record and also uploaded official video of his world record on their official website. Attshan Ali Abbasi is the only man in the world who can recite all countries’ names in just 50 seconds. He can also recite 47 European countries names in a single breath.
