ISLAMABAD: The Capital Administration and Development Division (CA&DD) has acquired five new buses under the Prime Minister’s Education Reforms Programme, launched to facilitate students and ensure quality education, in federal government schools and colleges. The government has allocated Rs 490 million for the purchase of new buses and their registration to provide transport facility to students. The buses are being acquired in phases as five of them have been arranged while another five would be included in the buses fleet this week, the Coordinator of Prime Minister Education Reforms Programme, Ali Raza said on Tuesday. He said, of the total, 70 buses planned to be acquired for the federal government schools and colleges working under the Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), 10 buses would be acquired every week from next month. This process is expected to be completed by December this year, he said and added accordingly tenders had been opened to ensure the supply of the second procurement.
