ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has finalised the arrangements for auction of commercial plots at prime locations of the federal capital. The two-day auction of commercial plots will be held today and tomorrow (April 26 and 27) at Pak-China Friendship Centre. A meeting was held at CDA headquarters in this connection to review the arrangements made by the authority for auction of commercial plots. The meeting was presided by the CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal while senior officers of the relevant formations were also present on this occasion. The CDA chairman approved auction committee headed by the Member Finance/ Member Planning and Design Waseem Ahmed Khan while Member Environment Sanaullah Aman, deputy director general land and estate, deputy director general finance, deputy director general law, public relations director, Urban Planning director, Regional Planning director and Estate Management-II director to supervise the proceedings as member of the auction committee. The CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal was informed that the two-day auction would commence on Tuesday (April 26) at Pak China Friendship Centre at 10 am. He was also informed that during the two days auction 28 commercial plots of different categories will be presented for the auction. He was further informed that five commercial plots of Markaz D12 including one petrol pump plot, four commercial plots of Markaz I16, four class-III shopping centre plots of sector D12/1, two commercial plots of Markaz F11, two commercial plots of Markaz I8, one commercial plot of Markaz G11 and two of sector G11/3. The CDA chairman was further informed that as CDA has completed development work in the Park Enclave Housing Scheme, the authority has also included six commercial plots including one petrol pump plot of this scheme in the auction. The CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal directed the auction committee to take all possible measures to facilitate the bidders. He further directed to install and display details of the plots outside auction venue. The committee will submit its recommendations to CDA Board, which is a competent forum to approve the bids.
