ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Serena Hotel, in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Thailand, the Okura Prestige Bangkok and Thai Airways presented the first-ever international food festival at its signature restaurant Wild Rice. The opening was attended by the Ambassador of Vietnam, H.E Nguyen Xuan Luu, Ambassador of Brunei, H.E Dato Paduka Haji Mahmud bin Haji Saidin, Ambassador of Argentine, H.E Ivan Ivanissevich and Mr.Daniel Ritz CEO PTCL and many diplomats, government officials and food lovers. The six-day Thai Food Festival will offer an exciting menu, whipped by the visiting Executive Thai Sous Chef Jachnarong Pattharanatorn from Okura Prestige Bangkok, a member of the leading hotels of the world. The internationally-renowned guest chef will prepare a myriad of treats, reflecting a wealth of experience from his unique heritage and enabling guests to embark on an unsurpassed culinary journey that is sure to inspire the senses and leave an indelible mark. The CEO of Serena Hotels, Mr Aziz Boolani, the Thai Ambassador His Excellency Ambassador Suchart Liengsaengthong and the General Manager (GM) of the Islamabad Serena Hotel, Michel A. Galopin opened the festival.They were accompanied by the city’s food enthusiasts.
