ISLAMABAD: Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air Staff, Pakistan Air Force, recently visited Air Base as well as aviation industry units in Moscow, Russia and observed modern fighter jet and other important military hardware. During his visit to the Base, CAS Aman was also briefed about the role and tasks of Russian Air Force and then shown its various aircrafts on its inventory. Air Chief also appreciated the professionalism and the operational capabilities of the Russian Air Force. He also emphasized upon the importance of mutual training and the conduct of Operational Exercises between the two Air Forces to benefit from experiences. Later, he also met the aviation industrial hierarchy of Russia and explored multiple options to enhance mutual collaboration in technical fields. The Air Chief also talked at length about the existing opportunities of cooperation between the two aviation industries. He showed a keen interest in initiatives to enhance mutual technical cooperation. Air Chief Marshal also called on Colonel General Victor Bondarev, Commander-in-Chief, Russian Federation Aerospace Force. Both the dignitaries discoursed over matters of professional and mutual interest. During the meeting, both the commanders also agreed upon increasing the cooperation between both air forces in particular and the Aviation industry in general, as well as boosting the aviation technology jointly. Both Air Chiefs showed a great interest in bilateral operational exercises to benefit from each other’s experience. The Air Chief also highlighted the contributions of the Pakistan Armed Forces and PAF’s role in operation Zarb-e-Azb. Colonel General Victor Bondarev appreciated the high standards of professionalism being set by Pakistan Air Force and stated the need to learn from each other’s experience. Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman, Chief of the Air staff, Pakistan Air Force is at present on an official visit to Russian Federation on the special invitation of Russian Federation Aerospace Force.
