ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Senator Saeed Ghani on Saturday said that had the Model Town tragedy occurred in Sindh, the Sindh chief minister, interior minister and inspector general would have been languishing in a prison, but the “sultans of Raiwind” were living in their luxury. In a statement, the senator said that everyone was aware of mega corruption in mega projects in Punjab, but the National Accountability Bureau was unable to act against the sultans of Raiwind. He said that the leader of Chotu gang was arrested, but no one knew where he was and what action was being taken against him. “The father of a minister accused the Punjab law minister in multiple murder cases, but no action was taken against the law minister.” Ghani said that the Punjab government was anti-women and during the last few months numerous women and girls had been murdered, including Qandeel Baloch. He deplored that killers were roaming freely in Punjab, while the provincial rulers were “conquering Azad Jammu and Kashmir”.
