ISLAMABAD: The Capital Development Authority (CDA) finalised seven inquiries during the last month. The inquiries were initiated against 13 officers of the authority. Out of these 13, three officials have been exonerated. Two employees were given major penalties. Minor penalties were given to four employees. Cases of four employees are still under process. Riaz Khan, Assistant Director (E&DM), has been given a major penalty, reduction to lower post of inspector (BPS-16). A major penalty has also been imposed on Javed Masih, operating officer of Chief Complaint Office. He has been reduced to a lower post ie sub-assistant (BPS-14). Both Riaz Khan and Javed Masih faced disciplinary proceedings for attending union protests. Published in Daily Times, September 23rd 2017.
