ISLAMABAD: A meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) approved allocation of funds to the tune of $25 million for the National Disaster Risk Management Fund (NDRMF). The meeting was held in Islamabad on Wednesday, with Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the chair. The Economic Coordination Committee also allowed exemption from withholding tax on dividends to the transmission line projects under the Transmission Policy 2015. The ECC also accorded approval for grant of Rs 12 million as equity share of government to clear liabilities and financial obligations to facilitate the process of winding up the Pakistan Textile City.
