ISLAMABAD: The Supreme Court of Pakistan on Tuesday rejected a bail plea in a money laundering case. The SC directed the trial court to dispose of the case within three months. A three-member SC bench, headed by Justice Dost Muhammad Khan, said that if the trial court failed to dispose of the matter within three months, the accused would be entitled to be granted bail. Muhammad Zada was arrested at Bacha Khan Airport with 0.3 million Saudi Riyals (SR). Authorities said that he was trying to smuggle the money to Dubai. He was being tried in a local court in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Published in Daily Times, August 23rd 2017.
