ISLAMABAD: The Interior Ministry on Friday submitted its detailed reply to the Islamabad High Court (IHC) regarding the case of a missing citizen of Islamabad. Justice Athar Minallah of the IHC heard the case filed by a woman, Mahera Sajid, against the missing of her husband, Sajid Mehmood, who was reportedly an expert in Information Technology. During the proceeding, the interior ministry submitted its detailed written reply with the court regarding the missing of Sajid Mehmood. The bench asked the counsel for the petitioner to study the report and give their opinion on it during the next hearing. The court also summoned the three amicus curiae including Babar Sattar and Tariq Mehmood Jahangiri to assist the court in the missing person case. The court adjourned the hearing of the case till October 28. It may be mentioned here that the petitioner had stated in her plea that her husband was kidnapped by eight armed people on March 14, from Sector F-10 and the law enforcement institutions had failed to locate him. Lawyers to get medical facilities at PIMS and Polyclinic: The Ministry of CA&DD has issued a notification to provide medical facilities to the Islamabad lawyers at the PIMS and Poly Clinic at par with the officers of Grade 17 and 18 respectively. The notification was issued in the light of the decision of the Islamabad high Court. According to the notification, medical facilities will be provided to the lawyers at par with Grade 17 and 18 officers in these two hospitals.
