ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chudhary on Thursday told the Senate that the government is taking steps to remove illegal encroachments from the residential and commercial sectors of the federal capital. He said that the Capital Development Authority (CDA) Enforcement Directorate is entrusted with removing encroachments across the city adding that the arrangements are being made to remove the encroachments from residential and commercial areas in all sectors of Islamabad as 12 dedicated teams are deployed across the city headed by the inspector level officer in this regard. He said that the vigilance section is also functional under CDA enforcement director, CDA control room is also functional with a contact number 051-9252601 for general public to launch general complaints. Tariq Fazal said that the commercial activities in residential area of sector G5 and F12 are going-on and government is taking action against the violators adding that most of the hotels are existing on designated plots and strict action would be taken against illegal occupants.
