ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday clubbed identical petitions against the call of the Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) to shutdown the federal capital through protests and sit ins. Justice Mohsin Kiani heard the case filed by a citizen Barrister Faisal Khan. During the proceeding, the court observed that different identical petitions were pending with the IHC. The bench directed to club the identical petitions and send them to the Chief Justice of the IHC. The hearing of the case was adjourned for an indefinite period. Meanwhile, Justice Aamir Farooq heard the case filed by another citizen, Yaqoob, seeking restraining PTI from “locking down” the capital. The petitioner stated that he was not against the protests but the PTI should hold it in a peaceful manner.
