ISLAMABAD: A petition has been filed in Islamabad High Court (IHC) for obtaining resignation from Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for mention of his name in Panama leaks disclosures. The petitioner Kaisar Jadoon in his petition filed through his counsel Saif Ullah Sarohi took the plea that national economy is being affected adversely due to appearance of the names of Nawaz Sharif family members in Panama leaks. He pleaded that the orders should be issued for holding referendum to solicit public opinion on the matter of obtaining resignation from Nawaz Sharif. The orders should be also issued for taking action against the owners of the off shore companies as have been disclosed in Panama Papers and money siphoned off to off shore companies be brought back in the country. Federation of Pakistan has been made respondent through cabinet secretary.
