RAWALPINDI: Rawalpindi citizens have protested against non establishing of dengue wards and special dengue counters in any hospital of the city. The Pakistan metrological department has predicted lengthy hot season for this year, due to which high rate of dengue cases are being expected. Dengue larva has been found at large scale in different areas of the city meanwhile some dengue cases have also been reported in several hospitals. According to media reports neither Dengue wards and special Dengue counters have been established nor the medicine for the Dengue patients have been made available yet in hospitals at Rawalpindi. In Benazir Bhutto Hospital, special Dengue counter has been replaced by new Emergency desk, The Hospital administration seems worried about setting up new dengue ward and counter.
