ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) would revamp all 180 parks of the federal capital of international standard and all missing facilities would be provided for the park of the capital city. A miniature garden would also be developed in the famous F9 Park to further add to the beauty of the capital city. CDA Member Environment Sanaullah Aman said that the authority has chalked out a comprehensive plan to rehabilitate all 180 parks of the federal capital. He said that during the first phase of the project; mega parks including Lake View Park, Kachnar Park, Rose and Jasmine Garden, Daman-e-Koh and Zoo area will be up-graded. Uplift of children play areas, refurbishment of different installation, up-gradation of footpaths and provision of proper lightening system are under the scope of this project, he added. CDA member environment said that a special focus has been given to the uplift of children parks and in this context 15 children parks in the capital city would be upgraded with added facilities. He said that in addition to the renovation of parks facilities, different walking tracks in the federal capital would also be up-graded to ensure state-of-the-art recreational and healthy facilities in all parts of the city. He further said that in addition to the developed parks, different facilities like walking tracks and small parks in the green areas would be also uplifted. The project of miniature garden has also been envisaged and it has been planned to establish capital’s first miniature garden in F9 Fatima Jinnah Park. CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal has directed the environment wing to complete codal formalities at the earliest so that the project could be executed. He said that federal capital is in phase of revamping as CDA’s up-gradation and rehabilitation plan is being successfully carried out in the capital city along with the revamping and uplift of this basic facilities that will add more beauty and aesthetic uplift to capital city. He directed to explore innovative and modern ideas for further beautification of the federal capital.
