ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Monday decided to take the parliamentary leaders of the political parties into confidence on the proposed commission to probe Panama leaks before taking any final decision. On directives of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, the meeting was held here at the PM House under the chairmanship of Finance Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, says a press release. “The high level meeting decided to take the parliamentary leaders of other political parties into confidence on the formation and other relevant matters vis-a-vis the proposed inquiry commission into Panama leaks before taking any final decision,” the press release added. Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Minister for Information Pervaiz Rasheed, Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafiq, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, Law Minister Zahid Hamid, Minister for SAFRON Abdul Qadir Baloch, Adviser to PM Irfan Siddiqui, Senator Mushahidullah and Minister of State for IT Anusha Rehman attended the meeting that discussed the inquiry commission and its mandate. The meeting also stressed to ensure execution of development projects more swiftly and foil the designs for bringing political instability in the country. The participants of the high level meeting also emphasized that the efforts for restoration of law and order, deliverance from energy crisis and China-Pakistan Economic Corridor and other infrastructural projects should continue with the similar pace. The meeting also mulled over some legal points for their onward incorporation into electoral reforms to ensure transparency in the electoral process.
