ISLAMABAD: Capital Development Authority (CDA) has successfully conducted a fair and transparent computerised balloting for the allotment of 4,078 plots in lieu of flats to the allotees of sector I15. These plots are being allotted in the same sector at subsidised rates as compared to the original price of the flats. The balloting process was supervised by a committee headed by CDA Member Finance Waseem Ahmed Khan while deputy director general land and estate, director estate management-I (West), director Information Technology, CDA security director and National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) director surveillance being members of the balloting supervisory committee were also present on this occasion. The process was also conducted in the presence of large number of flat allottees of sector I15 while representatives of both electronic and print media also witnessed the balloting process. In order to ensure transparency in the balloting process, an especially designed three layer protected software was used, which was prepared by National Database and Registration Authourity (NADRA). Furthermore, an expert team comprising upon five officials of NADRA operated this software to make the process more transparent. This procedure was highly appreciated by the allottees and they lauded the efforts of the authority for holding fair and transparent balloting of alternate plots to the flat allottees. The CDA Chairman Maroof Afzal lauded the steps taken by the relevant formations of the authority for organising transparent and successful balloting of the plots. He said that the authority has 100 percent land possession in this sector and this was last obstacle, which is being faced towards development of sector I15. He directed the engineering wing of the authority to complete all codel formalities for immediate initiation of development work in sector I15. He said that after development of the said sector, it would help cater growing housing needs in the capital city.
