ISLAMABAD: Capital city police have arrested 30 suspects during a search operation in Shahzad Town, Alipur Frash areas. Acting on tip-off, police carried out a search operation and arrested 30 suspected persons. The identification of suspects could not be ascertained immediately. Police carried out door-to-door search operation with the help of sniffer dogs and also seized ammunition, 39 litre of liquor, 4,950 grammes of heroine and gambling equipment. Police have shifted the suspects to an undisclosed location for further investigation. Similarly, two men have been booked for allegedly firing at an anti-encroachment team of Capital Development Authority (CDA) within the Shahzad Town police jurisdiction. Shahzad Town CDA Supervisor Raja Ajmal lodged a complaint with the local police that CDA enforcement team conducted operation against the encroachment in Chak Shahzad scheme no 2 where two persons Ijaz and Fayaz refused to allow the team to hand over the property and resisted against them and started firing at the team. Meanwhile, the Margalla police have arrested two men for allegedly pilfering electricity from the main transmission line. Acting on tip-off, Islamabad Electric Supply Company (IESCO) team raided a flat in sector F11 with police and arrested Muhammad Asif and Pervez Shahzad for allegedly pilfering electricity from the main transmission line. Police have arrested the persons. Similarly, Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Saturday arrested a woman suspected of posing herself as a lawyer. Acting on tip-off, the FIA officials raided in the premises of Rawalpindi courts and arrested Shazia Ejaz for posing herself as lawyer. The FIA spokesman said that the accused was involved in human trafficking and her name was included in Red Book and she was wanted in 15 cases. The spokesman further said that she allegedly deceived innocent people on the promise for sending them abroad and extorted money from them. The FIA shifted her to an undisclosed location for further interrogation. On a separate note, three men have been booked for their alleged involvement in aerial firing in a wedding ceremony within the Waris Khan police jurisdiction. Waris Khan police conducted a raid at a wedding ceremony and arrested three men for indulging in aerial firing in the wedding ceremony and violating the law. The detainees were identified as Noman, Usman and Gul Zaman. Police claimed to have recovered a pistol from Zaman’s possession. The police have registered separate cases and started investigation.
