ISLAMABAD: A youngster drowned in a flood drain on Sunday in Sohan area of Islamabad.
Khizer, 17, had come to the area along with friends to bath due to the hot weather. "He got into deep water, where he drowned. His body was later fished out by rescuers," police said.
Man shot dead: A 35-year-old man was gunned-down over old enmity within Saddar Baroni Police precinct. Unidentified gunmen forced their way into Syed Jan's house, located in Gulshanabad area, and shot him several times before fleeing.
He was taken to a local hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead. A post-mortem has been ordered. Police said they had registered a case and were looking for the attackers.
Abducted: Three women were abducted from Sadiqabad and Westridge police precincts on Sunday. Gulam Akbar, a resident of Sadiqabad, lodged a complaint with police, stating that kidnappers had abducted his two daughters from their house. He suspected that Arsalan Shah, Hasnain Shah, Farhat and Tahir Imtaiz could be behind the kidnapping. Muhammad Azam, a resident of Westridge, lodged a complaint with local police that kidnappers had abducted his 20-year-old daughter. He suspected that Azeem, Sajid and Shafiq could be behind the kidnapping. Police have registered cases and started investigation.
