ISLAMABAD: A consultative meeting of the senior leadership of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Thursday vowed not to be deterred by the spate of ridiculous allegations against the prime minister and to forcefully confront the conspiracies. The meeting, chaired by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar here at the Prime Minister’s House, was conveyed the directives of the prime minister who asked them not to pay any heed to the conspiracies being hatched against the progressive and development agenda of the PML-N. The prime minister also directed his cabinet to particularly focus on early completion of the several ongoing mega development projects across the length and breadth of the country. The meeting agreed to take the nation and the political stakeholders on board about the conspiracies and nefarious agenda of those who were against national progress and development. The meeting decided on forcefully respond to the ridiculous allegations being levelled against the prime minister and his family for ulterior motives at every forum. The participants reiterated that the PML-N had in the past confronted conspiracies and defeated such elements with success. They vowed to fight these elements at all political and legal fronts. The meeting participants expressed concern that Pakistan’s dynamic economic agenda was once again being sabotaged and obstructions were being created on the path of country’s progress and prosperity. “Such baseless attempts and personal agendas of such elements would never be successful,” the meeting reiterated. The meeting was attended by Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Information Minister Pervaiz Rashid, Minister for Safron Lt Gen Retd Abdul Qadir Baloch, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Minister for Law Zahid Hamid, Minister for Railways Saad Rafique, Attorney General of Pakistan, Senator Mushahid Ullah Khan and Maryam Nawaz Sharif.
