ISLAMABAD: The Federal Ombudsman Salman Faruqui on Thursday underlined the need to simplify the process of post retirement benefits of government employees and urged that no stone should be left unturned to remove hurdles in this regard. He expressed these views while chairing a high level committee meeting to address the difficulties being faced by the retired government servants with regard to post retirement benefits at the Federal Ombudsman Secretariat. The committee was formed by Federal Ombudsman Salman Faruqui while former principal secretary to prime minister, Saeed Mehdi is the chairman of the committee. While chairing the meeting, the federal ombudsman directed the members of the committee to forward the provisional recommendations of the committee to Finance Minister Ishaq Dar so that the government could take these recommendations for the coming budget.
