ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Maryam Aurangzeb said on Saturday that the incidents of terrorism had been brought down by 90% due to the sacrifices of the armed forces and the people. Talking to reporters after inaugurating the Azadi Train at Margala Railway Station, she said that it was the dream of the people to see Pakistan safe and secure and that dream had been fulfilled by the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz government under the leadership of former PM Nawaz Sharif. She said Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi would go ahead to fulfill the promises made by the PML-N in its election manifesto. “People will give their verdict in 2018 elections for the party,” she said. Maryam Aurangzeb pointed that the rally of Mian Nawaz Sharif was heartily welcomed by the people at every point on the GT Road and had expressed their support to him. “The spirit of live and affection for Mian Nawaz Sharif cannot be divided. The Azadi Train depicts culture, national heritage and reflects tremendous development in Pakistan,” she said. She said that the train would travel throughout the country to forge a spirit of unity.
