ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain has announced grant of special scholarships for LLB and LLM students of Balochistan. Every year scholarships will be given to 20 students from the province under the auspices of Higher Education Commission (HEC), the President said while talking to a delegation of Young Lawyers from Balochistan in Islamabad. The President said that foreign scholarships of Ph.D will also be awarded to Baloch students who would have excellent academic record. He said that NUML will soon establish a campus in Gwadar to teach Chinese language to the youth of Balochistan noting that Aiwan-e-Sadr has also donated a significant amount in this regard. The President said that Balochistan will benefit greatly after the operationalization of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). CPEC and Gwadar port will create employment opportunities for the local population and generate strong business activities. The project would bring prosperity in Balochistan. The President stated that the Government is committed to bring Balochistan at par with other provinces of the country. The corruption has been stopped through the good policies of government and now no power can hamper the development process of country. He said that lawyer community is integral part of judicial system and have an important responsibility to provide services to common people.
