ISLAMABAD: The most of the departments in International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) are going to hold the final term examination two weeks prior to the already set routine timing for the examinations in the wake of coming holy month of Ramazan. The Daily Times have learnt that one of the biggest universities in federal capital IIUI is going holding its final term examinations for spring semester two weeks earlier to its routine timing. It was a routine in the university that it holds final term examinations for spring semester in second week of June, but most of the departments this year are preparing to conduct the same examinations two weeks prior than routine from Monday, 23 May as the holy month of Ramazan is going to start from June 6. The students seems to be divided on the matter as some wants to complete academic session, but most of the students are happy with the arrangement as they want to spent whole month of Ramazan with their families, especially who are living in hostels. A teacher of the university told Daily Times, “Although, in routine spring semester ends in first week of the June, but in this semester the students and departments are to conduct examination earlier as per their personal convenience by managing makeup classes.” The Director Public Relations of the varsity while responding to queries said; “There is no official orders released by the varsity administration in this regard so far, but there is no legal issue invoilved in it.”
