ISLAMABAD: At least eight people were killed and 24 others sustained severe injuries in various traffic accidents across the country on Sunday. According to reports, collision between a trailer and a passenger coach in Lakki Marwat claimed the lives of five people and wounded eight others. In another accident in Malpur area near Bhara Kahu in Islamabad, Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Fiaz was severely injured when a dumper ran over his car after getting out of control and the car was damaged completely in the accident. Rescue teams shifted him to Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) while the driver managed to escape from the accident scene. Meanwhile, a woman and his son died and 15 got hurt when a bus toppled on the National Highway in Nowshehro Feroz. Meanwhile, the bus en-route to Karachi form Sargodha overturned near Shah Jamal petrol pump due to speeding. On getting information of the accident, Motorway Police and locals reached the place and evacuated the dead bodies and injured from the bus. The wounded were shifted to Karachi after receiving medical aid from a local hospital. Similarly, a passer-by lost his life when a dumper ran over him after the driver lost his control in Rewar road in Baldia Town Karachi.
