ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Sunday ruled out any chance of new general elections in the country.
In a statement, spokesman of the ECP said that if any lawmaker resigns, the commission would arrange by-polls in vacant constituencies within 60 days. He said the ECP has arranged by-polls in 28 constituencies during the last year. It is important to mention here that PTI chief Imran Khan has sought resignations from party MNAs and MPAs to build pressure on Nawaz government ahead of long march on August.
