RAWALPINDI: A two-day painting exhibition titled: ‘Beautiful Pakistan’ opened at the Rawalpindi Arts Council (RAC) on Thursday. Senator Najma Hameed, Punjab Assembly Member Lubna Rehan Pirzada , Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz Cultural wing president Riffat Abbasi, vice president Samina Abbasi, tehsil member Shazia Rizwan, Naheed Manzoor and RAC Resident Director Waqar Ahmed attended the ceremony held to mark the opening of the exhibition. More than 40 artists from all over Pakistan participated in the exhibition. The paintings including landscape and old architecture are on display till August 5. Sticking to landscapes or rural and urban scenes, most artists used oil on canvas as their medium. Addressing at inauguration ceremony, Senator Najma Hameed said that Pakistan had been blessed with everything. Published in Daily Times, August 4th 2017.
