RAWALPINDI: Security forces arrested eight operatives of a banned organisation during a search operation in Kohlu district of Balochistan on Sunday. According to a press statement issued here by the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the arrested terrorists were involved in installing improvised explosive device on the railway track in Mach. Three sub machine guns, five rifles, eighteen magazines, and thousands of live rounds were also recovered from them. 52 arrested for attending ‘dance party’: Police arrested 52 people late on Saturday for attending a party. Police claimed they raided a private ‘dance’ party underway in a local hotel in the federal capital and arrested 52 people, including 17 women. “We had received a tip-off that a dance party was under at a hotel in Sector G-5 of the federal capital. We arrested 52 people, including 35 men and 17 women. Most among them were drunk. We also seized drugs, liquor and the sound system,” Secretariat Police claimed. Some of those arrested were later identified as: Musa, Ibrahim, Zain, Naveed, Azeem, Aqeel, Rouyat, Ahsan, Iftikhar and Ahmad. Police said they had registered a case against the accused. Girl abducted: A girl was allegedly abducted on Sunday within the jurisdiction of Khanna Police. Zahoor, a resident of Pindorian, lodged a complaint with the local police, stating that kidnappers had abducted his daughter from the local market. Police have registered a case and started investigation. Man murdered: A man was murdered within the jurisdiction of the Koral Police on Sunday. Muhammad Saleem, a resident of Koral, lodged a complaint with police, stating that unidentified persons had murdered his son Sheroz. “The accused strangled Sheroz, who died on the spot. The attackers then fled,” he told police. The body was taken to local hospital for post mortem examination. Saleem suspected that Usman and his unidentified accomplices could be behind the murder. Police have registered a case and started an investigation. Cases registered against 12: Cases were registered against at least 12 people for allegedly violating the National Action Plan in Rawalpindi. According to details, cases were registered against Waqas, Arshad, Ahsan, Ahmed Liaquat, Latif and Shahid over the violation of residence ordinance. Whereas, cases were registered against Shahid, Iqbal, Nadeem, Bashir and Zahid for violating the Security Ordinance Act. A case was also registered against six people for allegedly threatening another man in the jurisdiction of Sadiqabad Police. Mohabbat Khan, a resident of Sadiqabad, lodged a complaint with the local police, stating that Muhammad Naqash, Muhammad Daniyal, and their four unidentified accomplices had come to his office and held him hostage at gunpoint and threatened to murder him.
