ISLAMABAD: The Lok Virsa arranged a folk music evening to pay tribute to folk singer Qurban Ali Niazi in collaboration with the Mausikaar Welfare Trust. Lok Virsa Executive Director Dr Fouzia Saeed, officials of the Mausikaar Welfare Trust and a good number of people attended the event. Qurban Ali Niazi started his career with a fresh fervour and zeal, singing like minstrel from village to village and hamlet to hamlet. Born in 1947, he made his debut by singing at Urs of a Sufi saint in Multan at the tender age of 10.
