ISLAMABAD: Governor Punjab Rafiq Rajwana has said that the government will not renew Altaf Hussain’s passport after his hate speech against Pakistan. Speaking at a delegation of Islamabad based Sindhi journalists here at Punjab House, Governor Rajwana said that the government would not compromise on rule of law and those criminals affiliated with MQM would not be offered clemency. On banning of MQM, he said that after the hate speech of Altaf Hussain, Farooq Sattar distanced himself and announced separation of his party from him. The federal government is observing the attitude of Sattar and if he does not cut off ties with Altaf, then the government will evolve a future course of action. He said that anti-Pakistan and anti-state speeches would not be allowed for carrying out politics in the country. When asked why the Foreign Office had not yet summoned the British envoy and lodged a protest on the statement of Hussain, he said that the government had sent references to the British government about the misdeed of Altaf Hussain. He said that Aitzaz Ahsan has a legal right to submit his bill on the Panama leaks in the Senate as a member of the Upper House. He said that when the opposition went to court and election commission, then they have lost the prerogative to protest on the streets. Rajwana dispelled the impression that Nawaz Sharif was only the Prime Minister of Punjab. He said the PM has taken several initiatives through CPEC and other mega projects for all four provinces and their benefits will not be limited to Punjab only. He said that India wanted to disturb the CPEC project. He said that the present government was taking measures for the development of the Southern part of Punjab and started different developmental programs and projects in Multan, Bahawalpur and other cities there.
