The YouTube Go app is Google’s attempt to penetrate into developing countries, the new app give users more options over quality and file size, offline viewing and sharing videos with nearby users without the drainage of data thanks to the use of Bluetooth, reported TechSpot. “YouTube Go is a brand new app to help the next generation of users share and enjoy videos,” YouTube product management VP Johanna Wright says in a blog post. “YouTube Go was designed and built from the ground up with insights from India, in order to bring the power of video to mobile users in a way that is more conscious of their data and connectivity, while still being locally relevant and social.” The offline video saving feature, allows users to watch videos without being connected to the Internet, provided they had them buffered. The announcement came by the Google’s video platform at a press conference held at the DHA Golf Club on Wednesday, reported local media reports. “We are delighted to launch this new offline experience on YouTube with some of the top Pakistani players in entertainment. By making these popular videos available for temporary offline viewing, our partners will help fans connect more easily with their favorite content, while also helping bring more viewers to their videos,” said Tania Aidrus, Head of Business Development, Next Billion Users team at Google Asia Pacific.
