The new design for the Boom XB-1 Supersonic jet was revealed during the Paris Air Show, this aircraft does not even have a prototype currently and plans to fly the XB-1 demonstration jet next year for test flights. 76 is a huge number for an aircraft that does not even have a prototype yet and Boom has reportedly stated that the bookings include nonrefundable down payments that will help the company achieve its milestones in the near future. The company vows to shorten flight times for intercontinental business routes to almost half, with fare that will match the current business class. Boom aims to carry out its demonstration aircraft’s first flight with subsonic tests near their HQ in Denver, then with supersonic flights to assess those capabilities at Edwards Air Force Base in Southern California.
