Rings are a symbol of commitment that allow people to carry constant reminders of their loved ones around with them. But despite having been around for the last 6,000 years or so, rings haven’t changed very much. Now a start-up company called The Touch has created a ring that lets you remotely feel your partner’s heartbeat. Made of stainless steel or rose gold, the HB Ring has been in development for over two years. It features over 100 components that include a range of sensors. It records both you and your partner’s heartbeats using a sensor and transmits it to each other over the internet. Tapping the ring will let you feel your partner’s heartbeat and see the ring light up in time to the beat as well. These include a Bluetooth connection and a battery that lasts for up to 14 hours of wear-time. The presentation box that the rings come in doubles as the battery charger. The rings work with a smartphone app that pairs the two rings together. The new product appears to be popular as original pre-orders of the HB Ring have sold out.
