Sadly we haven’t ever spotted the Duchess of Cambridge at London Fashion Week, but we know Kate has a few key designers she wears season after season – from Emilia Wickstead to Roksanda. We’d love to think that with her love for fashion she’s scrolling through the live streams of the shows on her phone from home, in between taking Prince George to school and keeping an eye on Princess Charlotte. Perhaps she’s already got an eye on a couple of pieces for her autumn/winter wardrobe already, but here’s what we predict Kate could be seen in this year. Emilia Wickstead – Kate has worn some pretty pleated crepe dresses from the British brand over the years – her aquamarine frock and matching Jane Taylor hat from the royal tour of Australia is one of her best looks. And of course, she’s sported a number of their fit-and-flare style coat dresses over the years. But seeing as Kate has experimented more with her style, as of late, it’d be lovely to see her in a bright block colour maxi dress from the AW17 collection. Preen by Thornton Bregazzi – Kate wowed in a scarlet bardot number from Preen during the evening reception on the royal tour of Canada last year – and she seemed to love the dress so much, she later wore it in black for a charity awards ceremony. Perhaps she’ll ruffle a few feathers in a high-neck asymmetric floral dress this year or add to her collection of bright coats. Roland Mouret – the Duchess wore one of the French-born designer’s cut-out shoulder dresses for the Sports Aid charity bash last year. She looked stunning in the cobalt blue floor-length gown, so can we expect to see her in another figure-hitting garment for a formal occasion this year, like this mauve v-neck design? His A/W ’17 show was particularly special, as it marked his return to LFW for the first time in 16 years and the 20th anniversary of the label. Temperley – British fashion designer Alice Temperley is renowned for her feminine lace dresses and Kate appears to be a big fan. We’ve seen her in a jade number for the royal tour of India last year, a floor-length gown for the War Horse film premiere in 2015 and a LBD for the Autumn Gala during her second pregnancy in 2014. Kate often has dresses modified, if they’re a little bit too risqué for royal protocol, so we could see her in the powder blue midi dress with an added slip or perhaps, she’ll wow us in separates and channel winter blooms with a full skirt? Roksanda – the Serbian-born London-based designer is renowned for her signature colour block dresses and also counts Michelle Obama and Samantha Cameron among her customers. For A/W ’17, models were sent down the catwalk in hues of merlot red, mustard and cobalt blue, broken up by neutrals.
