According to a recently concluded study, scientists have discovered a massive crocodile that roamed parts of Madagascar some 170 million years ago. The crocodile reportedly had teeth similar to a T-Rex and was a top predator of its time. It is originally called Razanandrongobe sakalavae and nicknamed ‘Razana’. Razana becomes the oldest representative of a group of animals similar to the likes of modern crocodiles called ‘Notosuchians’. A research in 2006 could not determine if Razana was a dinosaur or an unknown crocodile ancestor and this discovery was ensured after new cranial fossils were found and researched upon by Italian paleontologists.
