ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif Tuesday reiterated his government’s resolve to spread power outages in every nook and corner of the country, Khabaristan Times has learnt. While chairing a cabinet committee meeting on power outages, the prime minister directed Ministry of Water and Power for early completion of World Engine, a powerful device used to extract megawatts from national grid. Federal Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi informed Prime Minister Nawaz that authorities concerned were tirelessly exploiting natural resources in Balochistan and Khyber Pathkunkhwa. “The ruling PML-N government wants to serve the masses. For the first time in the 70-year history of Pakistan, and the 4.54 billion year history of the world, citizens will experience load shedding to such an extent,” the prime minister told this scribe. Gift for Saudi prince The cabinet meeting also decided to arrange for more houbara bustards. A PML-N minister told this scribe on condition of anonymity the prime minister is likely to send the birds to the Saudi royal family. “Saudi Deputy Crown Prince and Defence Minister Mohammed bin Salman had asked PM Nawaz for an Eid gift. As you know, our PM is very generous. He has decided to gift the endangered birds to the Saudi prince.” The minister added that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was impressed with the Saudi royal’s wardrobe. “The PM was awestruck by Ya-Habibi’s dress,” said the minister. It may be mentioned here that the Saudi deputy crown prince had visited Islamabad on Sunday night. He was received by Minister for Defence Khawaja Asif and other officials at the Nur Khan Air Base.
