LAHORE: Polling for the NA-120 seat ended in Lahore at 5pm on Sunday. The seat was left vacant after the Supreme Court disqualified former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif in the Panama Papers case and now 44 candidates are contesting for it. The poling began at 8am went uninterrupted throughout the day till it ended at 5pm and a huge turnout was seen at different polling stations throughout the constituency. All 220 polling stations were declared senstive and Pakistan Army and Rangers deployed their troops to provide security to the voters and the polling staff. A close competiton is expected between Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf’s (PTI) candidate Dr Yasmin Rashid and Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz’s (PML-N) candidate Begum Kulsoom Nawaz.
