No military operation in Balochistan: FC

QUETTA: No military operation is underway in any part of Balochistan as Frontier Corps (FC) personnel are deployed only to protect national installations in Sui town of Dera Bugti district, an FC press release quoting its spokesman said on Thursday.

It said militants were causing damage to private properties and farms of tribesmen. The statement further said there was not a single helicopter gunship in Balochistan and termed the propaganda of the operation a lie that was tantamount to misleading the Baloch tribesmen. It alleged that militants and criminals were involved in kidnappings and killings of innocent Balochs because of which people abominated them. It appealed to militants to abide by the law and adopt a reconciliatory approach, already initiated by the government to establish peace in the province. app
