ISLAMABAD: United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has launched a clean technology competition in Pakistan to help entrepreneurs, innovators, and startup companies to grow and take their green technology ideas further. UNIDO is managing a global programme called Global Cleantech Innovation Programme. Cleantech is a global competition aimed at promotion of innovations in the field of clean technologies, Radio Pakistan reported. This competition is simultaneously been carried out in seven countries around the world. The major objective of this competition is to foster innovations in renewable energy, energy efficiency, water efficiency and green building. The target market of Cleantech competition is SMEs and Startup companies. This programme involves extensive mentoring, training, access to investors and opportunities for participants to showcase their innovations.
