QUETTA: The Balochistan High Court (BHC) on Monday issued bail-able arrest warrants for former president Pervez Musharraf in Akbar Bugti’s murder case. A divisional bench passed this order during hearing of a review petition challenging acquittal of the former president by Anti-Terrorism Court. Justice Jamal Mandokhel and Justice Zaheeruddin Kakar heard a review petition filed by Akbar Bugti’s son Jamil Bugti. Musharraf’s counsel, Akhtar Shah, said that although his client respects the court, he could appear before the court due to security reasons. However, Bugti’s lawyer complained that despite repeated orders the former president has not showed up. The court ordered that the administration should provide security to Musharraf during his court appearance. Former Balochistan chief minister and governor Nawab Akbar Bugti was killed in Kohlu District on August 26, 2006.
